UNCLE JOE’S HELI-BASH FUN FLY PDF Print E-mail

On Saturday June 21, 2008 43 pilots brought 64 radio controlled helicopters to the Model Aircraft Recreation Society’s field located in Middle Lancaster Twp Butler County, PA for a day of flying and exchanging information with other helicopter enthusiasts.

Pilots brought shelters to make  shade for themselves and thier aircraft in the pits.

There were enough  door prizes to allow all pilots to go home with at least two items

Joe Dantonio, for whom the event was named was the prime organizer and event manager.

Event sponsors included Hobby Express of Cranberry Twp, Thunder Tiger, Magnum fuels Heli Direct. Com. and Slimline.

Items from the various sponsors allowed all pilots to go home with at least a couple door prizes. The grand prize a Thunder Tiger Mini Titan Helicopter was won by Cal Tedone of Pittsburgh.

The success of the event has the organizer’s considering making this an annual event.
